![]() | Woolcrafts on Bergli Farm, Lyttelton Harbour, Christchurch Rowena offers afternoon woolfun workshops where you can meet and feed the sheep and alpacas, learn about shearing and fibre preparation, and make your own momento for a souvenir or present, to take home. Also suitable for families. Bergli farm is in Teddington ( 30 minutes from Christchurch) and the workshop takes place in a beautiful log house with stunning views of Lyttelton Harbour and the Port Hills. The workshop begins at 1 p.m. and generally takes 3 hours. Cost is $60 per person including materials.For guests having a Farmstay, a special discount makes it $40 p.p. Because Rowena loves to help people make something unique and full of their own personality, you have a wide choice of colours, materials and techniques, such as felting, weaving, spinning, knitting or crocheting. Choosing from the extensive range of colour from Mary's hand dyed fleece & using the drum carder, you will create your unique blend of colour to felt with. Here you get the chance to be creative, experiencing felting techniques of your choice. The day is tailored to suit everyone's individual needs (achieved by limiting participants to a maximum of 4). Designed for visitors to our region as well as locals the workshop caters for both experienced felters & beginners. 10am start - approx 5pm finish.
