"We're always looking for new combinations of olive oils, so it's great when participants try mixing their own blends"
Roger Armstrong

Half day workshop with Roger Armstrong

Have you ever wanted to grow your own olive tree, wondered why there are so many varieties available or simply curious about new ways to use olive oils with food?

This workshop starts with a walk through Tasman Bay's olive grove where you'll learn about growing techniques, differences amongst the varieties of olives and find out about New Zealand's past and future as an olive growing country.

You'll gain hands on experience in pruning olive trees followed by a visit to the olive press to find out how the oil is extracted. Roger will then explain the product development process and give you a chance to create your own unique blend. During the workshop you'll also find out about some of the more traditional uses of olive oils and recommended oils for cooking and food matching.
