An introduction to the creation and
appreciation of traditional cheese, with a local cheese-maker.
Learn the differences between hard and fresh cheeses and what
makes artisan cheese so different from the large-scale,
factory-made product.
Make two soft cheeses yourself and taste a
selection of our local cheeses over lunch.
About the tutor Lisa Harper has made cheese all her life,
having learnt the art from her mother and grandmother. She now
supplies local restaurants and cheese enthusiasts with unique
cheeses made to traditional recipes.

Workshop location: In
the kitchen at ‘Sherrington Grange,’ the family farm in the
scenic Marlborough Sounds. One hour from Blenheim or Picton.
